Dear Arrowhead Families,
My path as an educator began in 1979, when my best friend and I became official helpers in Mrs. Denke's kindergarten room. I was a humanities teacher in the Lake Washington and Seattle school districts before landing here in Northshore - my favorite district of them all.
My philosophy and practice as a principal are informed by being a mother as well as the many years I spent teaching 6-11th graders. I care deeply about each child's individual needs being met. I care deeply about each educator having an environment where their passions and gifts can positively impact children. I care deeply that the institution of public education continues to identify and eliminate racist and exclusionary systems and structures and grow to be a place where every precious student is valued and served.
I have been grateful every minute of every day to be part of this loving, talented and passionate community. Children are at the center of everything we do, and I love working with Arrowhead staff, students and families.
