Headshot of Arrowhead principal

Ms. Kristin Bailey

Dear Arrowhead Families,

I am so grateful and excited to be joining your community.

I was raised in San Diego California and moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington, where I was a coxswain and then a coach on the men's rowing team.  I started my teaching career at Inglewood Junior High on the Sammamish Plateau when it was still mostly pastures, and moved to Seattle Public Schools in 2002.  Most recently, I have been assistant principal at Thornton Creek Elementary in northeast Seattle.

Family and community are core values to me.  I have two daughters who will be in 7th and 9th grade in Seattle Public Schools, and I live on a street where my neighbors and their children are like extended family.  I love to garden, read, go on long walks, and I love anything that involves the sea, rivers or lakes.  I also love being an educator.  Spending my days with children and the adults who love them is the greatest joy.

I can't wait to meet you and settle in to this powerful community of parents and educators.  I look forward to meeting you at the Open House / Supply Drop Off and PTA Welcome Back event on the 29th of August.  You can also reach out to me at .

Thank you,
